CABIN DESCRIPTION:
Once you drive down the long gravel driveway, (4 wheel vehicle recommended in snowy weather), and come up the steps to the porch, you’ll be greeted by sculpted birds perched atop the sconces on both sides of the front, burgundy colored door. This cabin was built by the Amish. If you have ever watched a “Tiny Homes” tv show, you might consider this to be one of those, but… it’s one that “Just-Grew-Up”, as Pete Nelson from the Treehouse Masters would say. This cabin is considered a “park model”, a larger version of the tiny homes. Upon opening the front door, you’ll step into the living room, which has a spacious feel due to the high ceiling.
Living Room: Here you’ll find a very comfortable couch, a cushioned chair, a 42” HDTV with DirecTV including Genie (great for rewinding to catch that football play you might have missed!), satellite wifi internet access (see notes under satellite/cable and internet below), an antique toolbox/coffee table filled with games and cards, a book case with various books, a binder with local information/menus/maps, a wicker basket with extra brochures, ceiling fan and a gas fireplace.
Dining/Kitchen: The living room area is also part of the dining/kitchen area. An antique podium with a granite top is perfect as an island in the middle to seat 4 people on padded stools. There is a full size refrigerator, range/oven, microwave, crock pot, blender, pots and pans, glasses, stemware, dinnerware and utensils for 8 people, grill utensils, 5 cup coffee pot and filters, toaster, some miscellaneous spices, mixer, mixing bowls, mixing spoons, mixing cups, bottle openers, cutting board, dish towels, dish soap, garbage bags and cook books.
Bathroom: Shower, toilet, plush towels, hairdryer, first aid kit, nightlight, exhaust fan.
Master Bedroom: Queen bed, linen included, electric fireplace, 32” HDTV with internal DVD player, alarm clock with 2 USB phone charger ports.
Lofted bedroom: 2 Queen beds, linen included, 20" HDTV, an antique child's roll top desk with coloring books and crayons and colored pencils. This room has a low ceiling. A child can walk pretty easily, but adults have to walk hunched over. Clearance is 4 ft in the center.
Deck/Porch/Lot: Porch swing, patio table with 6 patio chairs, stainless steel gas grill with side burner, fire pit, 6 plastic Adirondack chairs, large mowed lot, gravel parking area. Please no parking on the grass.
General: A/C, vacuum, iron and ironing board, drying rack.
This cabin is the perfect romantic get-a-way or small family retreat; so close to so much, yet nicely tucked away in a private setting.
